Sue Wadkins

Museum Coordinator

Sue Wadkins served on the Museum Advisory Board for a combined 20 years, and in 2021 she became the Museum Coordinator. In addition to giving tours of the Adobe House and Schaeffler House and managing the Visitors Center, she also shares her talent in decorating the Schaeffler House. 

Prior to taking the position as Museum Coordinator, she was an EMT for the Marion County EMS for 20 years. Sue grew up in Hillsboro and is a 1974 graduate of Hillsboro High School. She and her husband, Michael, have 3 sons, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Sue enjoys sewing quilt tops and cooking, especially her favorite German recipes.
