Online Registration is HERE!!!!!

 

Our HRC programs have been converted to online registrations at

 https://hillsboroks.recdesk.com/Community/Home.  You will be able to register for this activity, and all of the HRC programs, on any computer, tablet or smart phone as long as you have a credit card or check card.

 

If you’d rather continue to drop your money off at Hillsboro City Hall, our city staff are trained to assist you with completing the online registration form at city hall.

 

Before you can register for any of our programs, you must first go online and create an account. Go to the above link, then click “Create Account” and complete all questions FOR PARENT/GUARDIAN FIRST. We’d highly encourage you to click on the “Opt-In Text Alerts” box in order to receive important program texts (i.e.: cancellations, etc.) from the HRC as well as coaches. Once this information has been completed, you will need to click (Add Household Member) and complete the information for each member of the family. When all accounts are set up, you’re ready to begin enrolling in our programs.

HRC 2018 Flag Football

 

The purpose of the Hillsboro Recreation Commission Flag Football League is to provide a healthy recreational activity for young people in the area.Emphasis should be placed on fun.Rule changes have been made over the past few years in an attempt to alleviate rough play.Deadline to register is August 24, 2018.

Gymnastics

 

Gymnastics is Back!!!!

Rylee Yoder is excited to announce her return as the new owner and head coach of "The Core" in Hillsboro. Along with the help of her husband, Jacob Yoder, together they bring a wealth of knowledge in a wide range of sports. They will be focusing on developing core strength, balance, coordination, body control, and body awareness through the use of trampolines, power tumbling, plyometric exercises, and various other techniques. They want to provide a fun place where kids can develop athletically and provide community-based performances to showcase their skills. Their goal is to build a strong foundation for all-around physical fitness beneficial to all sports and everyday life.

Studio 23 Dance

 

The Hillsboro Recreation Commission & Krista Matlock are opening the **New** Studio 23 Dance Studio Starting October 2 at 107 S. Main in Hillsboro! Krista Matlock along with Krystal Holmes and Hannah Klaassen will be providing classes to introduce different styles of dance along with technique fundamentals

Martial Arts

 

The Hillsboro Recreation Commission is sponsoring a Martial Arts program taught by Sempai Mervin Lare who is a 2nd degree black belt in Honorable Tiger Martial Arts.  Class times are Mondays & Thursdays (Beginner – 6-7 p.m. and Advanced – 7-8 p.m.). Advanced is primarily for adults and children who are deemed ready for more advanced concepts.Advanced students may attend both beginner and advanced classes.

Yoga Class

 

Come enjoy a stress relieving yoga class. This class is an hour long intermediate mat class with multiple poses offered for beginners as well. Must be able to get up off of floor without assistance and put majority of body weight through arms. Many benefits of yoga include increased flexibility, strengthening through elongation of muscles, core strength and improved balance.

Weight & Exercise Room

 

The Hillsboro Recreation Commission and the Hillsboro High School have joined to open the Hillsboro High School strength-traini ng facility to the public. The facility will be open to Hillsboro students who are accompanied by a parent and also residents of Hillsboro over the age of 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please enter the facility through the east door of the new addition on the east end of the main high school building.

Open Gym

 

The Hillsboro Recreation Commission

 will be sponsoring open gym on Wednesdays from 7 pm to 9 pm and Sundays 2 pm to 5 pm until mid-March 2015. Open gym is for both youth and adult basketball players who would like to play in pick up games or just practice shooting. Please bring a separate set of clean basketball shoes to wear on the gym floor and you must provide your own basketball. For a calendar of all of the open dates click on this link.
